1) At least 11 years old, or
2) Completed the 5th grade, or
3) Earned the Arrow of Light Award (from Cub Scouts) and are at least 10 years old
No! Scouting is for ages 11-18 and youth can join at any age. Joining sooner will allow a more leisurely pace for rank advancement if that is your goal. It is possible to complete all ranks including Eagle in 2 years, although that is very challenging.
High adventure trips are longer trips with a minimum age of 14 or completed 8th grade. In previous years we have:
50+ miler though Olympic National Park
Philmont Scout Ranch (7-12 day treks)
Seabase Scout Camp (Florida Keys)
Northern Tier Canoe Treks

Our annual tree recycle is our one-and-done fundraiser. It is an all day event in early January where all members of the troops pickup Christmas trees and deliver to Tilz Soil & compost. This has been highly successful year after year and provides partial funds for summer camp and other activities. https://treerecycle.net is our signup location that opens around thanksgiving.
